We have assembled a few
Frequently
Asked
Questions to help you know what to expect. If you
have other questions about
building, maintaining or just owning a pool please call or send us an email and
we would be more than happy to help you.
How does the construction
process work?
First, our staff will work with you to finalize the design, we will determine
the decking area type of decking and its layout. Then we will look at
add-on options such as slides, fountains and other such details. Once all
details are finalized, we will lay out the pool in your yard including the
deck and any other options you have chosen. Giving you the opportunity to
look at the pool in your back yard, making sure it fits your needs. Next we will
begin the excavation and forming your pool into the necessary shape. We’ll then
set the walls, wall braces and pour the footing. Then we will
proceed with pre-plumbing, and electrical, back filling, forming the decking and
grading the yard. Then we will pour the deck and the vermiculite pool floor, drop the
liner and fill it up. We always try to remember that our work site is Your back
yard. We will leave your yard as clean as possible Every Day! To see
more details about the building process please check-out the Construction Page
of the web site.
Can you help me design the
best pool for my backyard?
Certainly! Mike Smith the owner of Caribbean Blue Swimming Pools works
with each of our new pool customers, to make sure we understand how you plan to
use your pool and your vision for your yard. He will help you to select
the best size, shape, and location for your pool, taking into consideration
every detail that will affect the appearance and appeal of your pool.
We will be mindful of things that you may want to do in the future such as
cleaners or water features. We will look at ways to make your hard earned
dollars go as far as possible and at the same time fill the Wow Factor.
Our Goal is to make sure that the pool of your dreams is the same pool that will
be built in your back yard!
Can you help me with
financing my pool?
Yes. Contrary to what you might think, there is still money available for
swimming pool construction as well as repairs and remodeling. We have
lenders that we recommend.
Will you support and help maintain my pool after it’s complete
Long ago we chose to do one thing and to do that one thing well, we build,
remodel and repair vinyl pools. We strive to do that so well that we will
not hear from you until it is time to replace your worn liner with a new one.
With that said, We believe that the 2nd most important decision you will make
concerning your pool is who will help you to take care of it once it is built.
We recommend that you find a company you feel comfortable with and that you make
it a point to build a relationship with them. We have put together a list
of companies who understand vinyl pools and how to take care of them.
How can I be assured you’re
using quality parts and equipment when building my pool?
We use only the best parts and equipment available in the industry. When
speaking with our staff, you can learn more specifically about the brands that
we sell.
How can I be assured
Caribbean Blue Swimming Pools are a reputable, quality pool builder?
First of all, look at our Testimonial Page. Secondly, talk with local pool
companies, preferably some who build pools and some who do not. They know
the local industry. They know who does good work and believe me, they know
the companies who do not!
What Is The Difference Between A Vinyl-Pool and Other Types of
Pools?
A gunite pool is the most commonly built pool in this area. The
surface of the pool is probably the biggest difference between them. A
gunite pool has a plaster finish, while the surface of a vinyl pool is a custom
made vinyl-liner that fits inside of the shell of the pool.
What are the Advantages of a Vinyl-Lined Pool Versus Other Pools?
Because of the surface, a Vinyl-Lined pool requires fewer chemicals to
keep it sanitized. It's surface is smooth and will remain that way.
There are many different patterns of liners available to choose from. The
pattern of the liner can entirely change the look of the pool.
What Are The Major Concerns With a Vinyl Pool?
One of the most critical issues with a vinyl pool is proper drainage.
All types of pools are vulnerable to the effects of water given the right
circumstances. We deal with drainage issues at the time of construction.
With minimal maintenance their will never be any drainage issues with
your pool
How Critical Is Chemical Balance In a Vinyl Pool?
Chemical balance is important in any pool. If it is not kept in
balance it will cause damage to the pools surfaces and to the equipment.
When you buy one of our pools we tell you the the 2nd most important decision
you will make involving your pool is who you choose to help you to take care of
it! We advise our customers to build a relationship with the folks at the
pool store. We work with our customers to find technicians who understand
vinyl pools and will value your business as much as we do.
